Use the following checklist to approve or reject admails. Note, ALL emails MUST be accompanied by a text version, in the event that email clients do not support html. If all criteria is met, the admail can be approved. If not, the Designer must make revisions, all criteria must be met or the admail can not be released. |

HTML Version
All important information (headlines/offers/call-to-actions) appears as text and NOT as an image
Images used are ONLY for aesthetics
If the graphic is used as a headline, offer or call-to-action, it is then repeated somewhere in html text
The copy is NOT light and the background color is NOT dark
There are NO cascading stylesheets (CSS), just use of font tags
Images are NOT used as table and/or cell backgrounds
Image sources are absolute urls, meaning the full url including http:// ____________ is displayed
All links work properly and are pointing to the right url
The “tips” to ensure the viewer can see the message is at the top of the admail
The right disclaimer is added to the bottom of the admail
All images and code are placed on the tribads server -> admails -> tribune…
Text Version
All urls are absolute and not relative; meaning that the full url including http:// is displayed
There is NO punctuation used before and after urls, Dartmail may inadvertently break the url
Lines of text are NOT broken unless a new paragraph is being started
If copy has been pasted in from a Word document, common punctuation marks have been retyped
Apostrophes, hyphens, ellipses, bullets and quotation marks do not appear as odd characters
All links work properly and are pointing to the right url

All active links (excluding email addresses) have an <a href> tag in front and corresponding </a> tag behind
For ease of finding the admail later for whatever reason, ALL house admails should be placed on the tribads server -> admails -> tribune… If a related folder does not exist, create one and name it with the month and the year (i.e., http://tribads.com/admails/tribune/shoplocal/1205/index.html |
